Other products that have black, silver or clear plastic neck bands will also be removed in the future.
PROTECTIVE SEAL
Optimum Nutrition protein tubs have a cardboard barrier that helps hold powder in place during shipping. This gloss white protective disk should be stuck to the top of the tub. Venting features may be visible on the seal to reduce pressure during transit. Check the seal on the outer rim of the tub has not been tampered with.
DATE & BATCH CODES
On the bottom or side of protein tubs you’ll find ink jet printing listing a manufacture date, expiration date and batch code. Powdered products have a 2-year shelf life, so the dates should be 2 years apart. On bottles of capsules, tablets and softgels, the dates and batch code are printed on the side in white.
